Lachie grew up on his family property in Central West NSW. His passion for veterinary science developed quickly while working at Central West Equine Hospital in Orange NSW and Lachie began studying Veterinary Science at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. During the course of his studies, Lachie continued his employment with Central West Equine Hospital and was also involved with various standardbred and thoroughbred yearling sales.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Veterinary Biology, Lachie took up a position as a mixed practice veterinarian in Bungendore NSW. There he developed his skills and experience primarily focusing on equine racetrack practice, reproduction and lameness.
Lachie has relocated back to Wagga to join the REVS team as an Equine Veterinarian where he will continue to enjoy all aspects of equine practice and continue to pursue his strong interests in equine reproduction and racetrack medicine. Being a keen eventing rider, you may spot Lachie, his horse and his whippet, Barney around our local competitions.
